I have decided to go to the United States of America in May. I plan to be in Washington for this and this and then it's fair game. Do you want to meet? Is there someone else you think I should meet? Or attend? Or just gawk at? Detours into Mexico & Canada cannot be ruled out at this stage. EwF believes absolutely in whim and kismet.

In preparing the reading list for the course I ran across an absolute gem of an article and podcast by one of my favorite network scholars -- Herminia Ibarra. Herminia is one of those rare academics that can effectively straddle the two worlds of research and business -- she can talk to either audience and translate between the two.

In Michigan last week, I helped convene 24 folks interested in what indigenous leadership means, and today I am here in Port McNeil BC, hosting a community to community forum between First Nations and local governments. In Michigan, we ran a circle process to help understand themes that were emerging from a cafe. I have had an interesting few days working with Aboriginal leadership from around North America.
