Chris Corrigan

Evaluation rigour for harvesting

Chris Corrigan

In Art of Hosting terms, we might call this a harvesting plan. The eight principles are: Developmental purpose. I think in the Art of Hosting and Art of Harvesting communities we get the first principle quite well, that participatory initiatives are, by their nature, developmental.

Chris Corrigan

Planning in pure dialogue

Chris Corrigan

We are playing with a new set of constraints and ideas as we take the core need and purpose of the program and discover other ways we can offer it to meet the demand in the sector for leadership training that strengthens resilience, creativity, and the ability to thrive in complexity.

How chaordic design unfolds

Chris Corrigan

These nine steps help us stay focused on need and purpose and design our structure and outcomes based on that. the first four steps of Need, Purpose, Principles and People are essential elements for the design of an invitation process. The tyranny of flipcharts

Chris Corrigan

This defeats the purpose of a conversation in which every voice is equal. This does not facilitate a good flow in a conversation, and it is rarely a useful harvest of a discussion. Putting the harvest tool in the middle of the table allows everything we are doing to be directed towards the centre. This is the basis of the way we harvest in World Cafe and it is brilliant. It democratizes the harvesting tools in a powerful way. Flipcharts.
