Problems with Evernote - Sluggishness

Michael Sampson - Currents

I have been using Evernote intensively for much of this year, and I think I'm hitting its limits - and far too soon for my liking. I only have 408 items across 6 Evernote notebooks. For example, I'm typing a sentence, finish typing the words, and Evernote is a few words behind. I really like Evernote - for it's cross-platform support (Mac, PC, and iPad especially), the cloud-based synchronization service, the tags across notebooks, and more.

Collaborative Note-Taking and Research Patterns - Three Architectural Options

Michael Sampson - Currents

The ease of doing note taking using Internet services such as Evernote, though, and its support for a range of devices, should give vendors of "centralized knowledgebase architecture" systems cause to sit up and take note. Evernote and its ilk are good products - I rely extensively on Evernote for a variety of tracking and research purposes.

#NRC01PL – What does personal learning mean to me?

Jenny Connected

Evernote: As above. This is the question we have been asked to respond to in Week 4 of the Personal Learning MOOC (#NRC01PL). This is a quick response. The word that immediately came into my mind in response to this question was ‘Freedom’. Freedom to decide whether or not I want to answer that question; where, how and when I want to answer that question. In other words, freedom to learn when, where, how, and with whom I want to. Of course I know that that is a bit of a utopian view.

Adoption of Mobile Devices and Apps—What's Different?

If you do, you are on a powerful path to getting things done right.
