5 Web Strategies that Paid Off in 2011

Online Social Networking

In November 2010, I seized an opportunity that came up to join a major luxury goods company and test my strategies and techniques in a competitive real-world environment. The results were outstanding.

At Lotusphere 2012, Douglas Heintzman (Director of Strategy, IBM Collaboration Solutions) and Andrew Warzecha (VP of Strategy, IBM Solutions Group) are presenting on IBM's social business strategy. Here's my notes: - Will be talking about some of the thinking within IBM about the forces that are changing the marketplace, and what IBM should do to help customers succeed. Most of the punctuations in productivity over the past 50 years have been driven by technology. -

Social media for trainers: think differently!

Joitske Hulsebosch

I did a workshop last Friday on the conference ' Trends voor Trainers '. The topic was: social media as learning instrument. Amazing that I don't have to translate the title of the conference for you, I'm sure you can make sense of it in English! I forgot my adaptor (really stupid of me) and felt very disorganised working on various different laptops and computers. Skype for instance looks so differently on a Windows computer. Fortunately I have my new adaptor now.

My icons on networks, connections and strategy. As I blog into 2012, it’s important to reflect on what I hope to achieve with my blog this year. First, blogging is a personal practice where I reflect on work and ideas that intrigue me. The act of blogging forces me to consolidate my thoughts, articulate them and share. As an independent consultant, I don’t have office colleagues to do this with at the water cooler hence blogging is my metaphorical water cooler.
