Facebook Subscriptions 2018 – Stop the Whining

Laurel Papworth- Social Network Strategy

What does Facebook Paid Subscriptions really mean? I don’t like my data being sold more than anyone but I recognise a free service has to monetise in some way. So offering ad-free Facebook subscriptions – which NO ONE will actually take at least long term – is an option.

How is learning organized in a self-managed organization?

Joitske Hulsebosch

Every month I read a management book. I am very curious about learning in self-managing organizations. How is this organized? Is self-management also self-directed learning? In April, therefore, I have read the much talked-about book by Frederic Laloux about new ways of organizing ( reinventing organizations ). I started reading 70-20-10 boek van Jos Arets, Vivian Heijnen en Charles Jennings but this is not an easy book to take with you on the train. So Laloux got priority.

Homeschooling over time

Mathemagenic

I keep on thinking how needs of a homeschooling family change over time. No data-based generalisations here, just observations. In the beginning it’s all about role-models and information. Finding people, who made the choice, and figuring out how to fit it in in the own circumstances. Vision (why and what) and boundary conditions.

From Changing Tools to Making Progress

Michael Sampson - Currents

When a new tool is introduced into an existing setting, the existing setting has some degree of stability (hopefully more than less). In order for the new tool to have a practical impact on the existing setting, it needs to be embraced into the setting; it needs to change what is already there.
