Announcing The New Networking

Partnering Resources

Have you ever wondered why networking feels so fake? So onerous? It’s because networking, as we know it, was created for extroverts and salespeople. For most of us, pressing the flesh in a crowded room of strangers, feels awkward and unsuccessful. Luckily, there’s a better way.

Recently, I checked my credit card statement to find several unauthorized and unexplained gas charges. I hadn’t used this card in weeks, so I knew they couldn’t be valid. I pulled out my credit card and proceeded to contact the customer service department. When I called it took almost 15 minutes to get a live respresentative on the line and after confirming my account, the call dropped! I was pissed… I waited 15 more minutes for the representative to call me back but she didn't.

Yesterday, in a discussion with our homeschooling friends we talked about schools. About socialisation as a big part of what happens in a school, even when everyone talks that schools are about education. In a sense that question that every homeschooler gets, often before any discussion about learning, confirms it. What about socialization?
