Review of Stratiteq's Social Collaboration Day - October 4, 2012

It was my first trip across the bridge linking Denmark and Sweden, and what a wonderful feat of engineering that is. Due to the integratedness of the airport / hotel / train, while I've been in Denmark, I haven't actually been outside. It's a bit before 7am and I'm waiting for a flight from Copenhagen airport to Brussels, for the final day of my European and United Kingdom visit for October.

Last night in Denmark I had a home cooked meal; my thanks to Frederik and his family for the invitation to spend a couple of hours away from a hotel or airport. I'm in Copenhagen now, and will be here until Wednesday evening. In an hour, the IntraTeam conference on SharePoint 2010 begins, and I'm speaking at 10.50am on SharePoint 2010 for collaboration. After the travel craziness of last week, I had a self-imposed rest over a 3-day weekend in Stockholm. I slept, walked, wrote, and planned.

Educated in the Modernist tradition of architecture in Britain and Denmark, Hackney’s return to England in the 1970s changed his outlook completely. Back in the 1970′s, when local councils were knocking down swathes of terraced housing and replacing them with tower blocks, a young architect worked with a group of residents in Macclesfield to fight the authorities, and to save and refurbish homes in Black Road.

Interactions 2012 - Sharing is Caring: A New Intranet Perspective - Janus Boye #iic12 @jboye

Michael Sampson - Currents

Janus Boye from Denmark is talking about sharing is caring, a new intranet perspective. Key points: - Museums have traditionally had a special role as gatekeepers. They put assets on display. Intranets have been like this - taking organizational assets, and controlling how they are accessed. The more museums do online, the more people go to the museums. It doesn't cut down on visitor numbers. Sharing is easy to understand. Caring is something we talk about a lot less.

In late 2008, Wikileaks released the secret Internet censorship list for Denmark , together with a press release condemning the practice for lack of public or judicial oversight.
