Polarities to help design harvesting

Chris Corrigan

Yesterday in a webinar for the Art of Hosting Applied Practice cohort I threw out a set of ideas around harvesting that were prompted a bit by experience and a bit by the questions that participants were asking. ” The act of paying attention to that is called “harvesting.” ” Harvesting planning needs a coherent scheme to structure the work and it is important to focus on all kinds of different outputs and outcomes from a process. Chris Corrigan

Most often this looks like a graphic recorder who gathers materials and snippets from the sessions and co-creates a harvest with session conveners and participants.

Reflections on PGviz18

Michelle Laurie

This was a fitting place for our circle discussions which focused on facilitation techniques but also deeper societal issues. This was a fitting start as much of what we do as graphic facilitators is try to understand how our tools can be of service to support others in their path.

We were hired by the Aboriginal Housing Management Association of BC to facilitate dialogue at this 800 person international gathering. ” With that theme to play with, we knew the cafes needed to be about connecting people and ensuring that stories were central to the work.
