I had the privilege of attending the inaugural conference in 2011, the second one in 2012, but had to miss the 2013 and 2014 conferences due to conflicting client engagements and travel commitments.

Digital Workplace Conference 2016 in New Zealand

Last week I attended the Digital Workplace Conference in Auckland. There were about 600 people at the conference, with conference sessions spanning two days, along with both pre-conference and post-conference workshops. It was the eighth annual conference in New Zealand (having been renamed from the original “SharePoint Conference”), and the 21st conference put on by ShareThePoint across New Zealand, Australia, and Southeast Asia.

Objections to participation in conferences

In conference settings this means scheduling much more dialogue or running the whole thing using Open Space Technology and dispensing with pre-loading content. This is not always the easiest thing to say to people, especially those that have hired you to deliver a conference or a conversation. This is to some extent true although it does a great disservice to most conference design. Of course we do, but not in the way most conference organizers deliver it.

There seem, at this time, to be many open courses on offer and conferences of interest. ALTC is usually a stimulating conference. I would like to go to this conference. Next week sees the official end of the summer break for many people, particularly those working in education.
