Communities in the Crowd Economy: #CSWEurope15

Online Community Strategy

This week I am participating in Crowdsourcing Week Europe 2015 in Brussels. One key strategy is to develop customer communities where customers connect to people in the business (as hosts) as well as other customers and prospects (as peers). The community feeds all digital activity.

Community reporting grows up with its own Institute

Social Reporter

Good to see another burst of energy from the Manchester-based People’s Voice Media , with the launch of their Institute of Community Reporters, and also a European Network for community reporters. In a news release Gary Copitch, PVM’s Chief Executive says: “We now have over 1000 reporters on the database from across the UK and a further 600 across Europe so it seems to make sense to develop the network and recognise the achievement of the reporters.”

What Makes A Successful Community Manager? - The BrainYard - InformationWeek

John Tropea - Delicious Community

What Makes A Successful Community Manager? Community managers greatest weapons are the relationships they build, the connections they make, and the advocates they empower through engagement with and collaboration in the very communities they manage. Behind every successful community, youll find an uberchampion of that community, an instigator of conversations, and a catalyst for change. Id be a fool to say a community manager can do it all on his or her own.
