After all, those boards are usually filled with people who are close to the founder – and when that happens, all sorts of potential for conflict arises. Due to odd sizes of the 4 foam core boards, I cut them to fit a 4×8 piece of paper and taped it together with white duct tape. I clip paper to the edges of the board rather than using tape which is great and keeps the paper looking nice. To date, I have leaned the board against the wall on top of a table and stretched across to write or use it simply to tell a story via a pre-drawn mind map or something.

The other day, I got this tip from a group that specializes in boards and governance. (I’ve Addressing noncompliant board members can be a challenge. It is difficult to reprimand veteran board members or ask them to step down. We recommend that boards put certain practices into place to help you prevent and address noncompliance with board policies. All nonprofits should institute term limits to facilitate board renewal.
