Media spaces integrate audio, video and computertechnology to provide a rich, malleable infrastructure for workgroupcommunication across time and space. One illustrative example of cultural understandings of appropriatebehaviour in media spaces lies in the varying approaches which havearisen around concerns of privacy and control. Concernsabout privacy, about the balance between control and availability, andpotential approaches to tackling the problems, are not absolute.
