Here is a 16" x 20" plein air oil painting completed in City Park, New Orleans. Painting  Painting with oils is so much different, for me at least, than acrylics. I am still have a ways to go on the learning curve but I am having fun.

New Painting Show at Buffa's, New Orleans

Yesterday, I hung a new pairing show at at  Buffa’s Back Room , one of my favorite music venues in New Orleans. There are 25 paintings of musicians in the show. This is my second show at Buffa's and I ma very honored to be there.

Evolution of Chat and Email in the Contact Center Industry

Recently, I checked my credit card statement to find several unauthorized and unexplained gas charges. I hadn’t used this card in weeks, so I knew they couldn’t be valid. I pulled out my credit card and proceeded to contact the customer service department. When I called it took almost 15 minutes to get a live respresentative on the line and after confirming my account, the call dropped! I was pissed… I waited 15 more minutes for the representative to call me back but she didn't.

Red Gravy: Great New Orleans Brunch

On Sunday we went downtown on the recommendation of our friend, Spider Murphy, who plays banjo around town, including a regular gig at Red Gravy for their weekend brunches. He has been raving about the food so we decided to try it out and hear him play some more.

Willie Mae’s Uptown is Now Showing My Paintings

Willie Mae’s Scotch House , located in Treme, is known for the best fried chicken in New Orleans, or anywhere for that matter. I would agree; and it has a James Beard award  to support their efforts. They recently opened in a second location uptown at the corner of St.

A few weeks ago we went to interesting lecture by art historian Marylyn Brown at Tulane. She discussed Degas' work in New Orleans and how his painting of his family's cotton market on Carondelet St. reflected global capitalism of the time. He did at least two paintings of the market.
