Engaged Customer definitions: Super Users, Influencers, Advocates

Community Guy

They share their opinions about the company openly, positive and negative. They are Engaged Customers, not unlike Super Users, but their activity is driven more by a desire to share their feedback on product usage experiences, than on social connection to like minded fans of a product/brand/service/idea. . “ If you participate, share, review, post then you will get some reward.” Definitions are important. Language matters. .

Unschooling myself: traces through time

And I thought that I should start with myself and share a bit more of the “difficult” stuff that we have to deal with. Something I find amazing every time I experience it – how unschooling as an educational choice for the kids turns to be a personal learning trajectory for us, as parents. Over the years it made me face my worst fears and imperfections, to see and accept things as they are and to learn from that point.

Why it’s hard to talk about dialogic containers in English

Chris Corrigan

” Yurie shared her thoughts, on some of these words, including noting that the word “ba” is often cited by foreigners as an example of a word describing the quality of dialogic container that exists in Japanese and not English. “But what if our people dominate?”

Chris Corrigan

There is an undercurrent to the base worry that clients share with me, and it’s worth addressing with them. Over the years I’ve noticed a trend in consultative facilitations that goes something like this: a client calls wanting to consult with the community about something. Sometimes this takes the form of a leader wanting to engage employees. The request is usually to design an event where we can hear from people without them being dominated by more powerful voices.

Open web, newcomers and community tools

Could you share which tools and practices do you use to grow trust, communicate and prepare for actions in small scale groups? Over last years I made many attempts to return to blogging, but couldn’t quite get the feeling of how it was before. That feeling of belonging. To the idea space. To the tribe of people connected by the intricate network of invisible stories and traces of digital artefacts.

Three musketeers, time and knowledge gaps

I wanted to share with the kids D’Artagnan and Three Musketeers movie of my childhood, an iconic musical of its time. So we set into it, spreading three series over three evenings. And then, as usual, it became watching a movie turned into a learning experience. The first part includes musketeers song that was written to become a hit, as we found out later, watching stories about how the movie was made. Of course, it became a hit with my kids and they started to sing it.

“But what about naysayers?”

Chris Corrigan

” When I’m teaching participatory leadership or sharing complexity tools, folks who are wedded to traditional linear mind and tool sets often raise objections. Perhaps I need to curate a series of posts called “The Whatabout Chronicles.” “Complexity would be nice, but we haven’t got the time. We have to get this problem solved now, and we need a plan to do it.”
