The Second Act: Community Guy Rises

Community Guy

I’d worked my ass off to be a small part of helping the idea of online engagement, social media, and community building take root in the world since the mid-90s. I was the guy who bugged his friends and family at parties about the internet in the 90s. I basically disappeared off social media, the same way I had recoiled from the world around me. As I recovered and started to post on social media again, I started to share small tidbits about the heartbreak. Hello.

November in review: transitions

Mathemagenic

November was also a month to look deep into the social part of homeschooling and figuring out what do we find important there and what is realistic. As the kids of our homeschooling friends grow there are new priorities and a need to find a new balance between adults and kids in the group. November turned to be a strange month. I went to Moscow for a week, without the kids and, for a first time in many years, without a real to do list.
