For 60 (apparent) years ‘I’ have played this game, pretended to be what I ‘know’ I am not. The six-year-old boy ‘knew’ this was all madness, a made-up game in an anguished, dreadful rush to make sense of what ultimately made no sense at all.

Since it began, every bit, 100%, of our global industrial culture’s “growth” is attributable to ever-accelerating use of cheap, readily available energy. Suppose I asked you to play a game. And they’ll become more and more plentiful as climate change accelerates.
