Last week I was doing some preliminary research for a client project in the adoption area. A financial services institution is deploying a suite of new collaboration tools, and I was asked to structure an approach for the human side of the adoption program. One of the twists with this project is that the client is based in an Asian country, and hence there was a need to think more deeply about how national culture impacts collaboration style and the adoption approach taken.

How the model was created - over the past few years - had a team of people out of Global Business Services and IBM Software Group meeting during their own time to develop the ideas: - held various interviews with IBM subject matter experts. Two capabilities - Behaviors, and Adoption. Adoption - how do you adopt social into the way you work? Good to have a virtual team - with the various stakeholders / people who would be mad if they missed out.
