During the final part of the afternoon, I had coffee with Andrew Woodward of 21apps - we talked SharePoint and books mainly - and then a Skype video call with Sam Marshall of ClearBox Consulting - and we debated "collaboration vs communication," SharePoint, and other matters. My Tuesday in London was filled with four meetings around the city. At 8am I jumped on the tube and used a couple of lines to get to a discussion about strategy and adoption with a client using Lotus Connections.

Skype, Box, Yammer, and Cisco as leaders in mobile strategy, determined largely by the vendor's strategy for cloud reach and the mobile app architecture (the balance between native apps and cloud services) as well as by the number of years with a mobile solution and the organizational commitment.

Skype is becoming the kids’ favorite tool for social networking.  I am also proving the keynotes here.

I offer to help via email or Skype. Skype is a useful tool for talking through wiki navigation. This year the tool I have used the most to support my work has been a wiki. I have found it an invaluable tool, for both working in small research groups and working in large and small project teams. My wiki of choice is PBWorks – although I am also familiar with Wikispaces, but only through the work of others, i.e. other people have set them up and registered me as a user.
