IBM and SNAPP for Quickr on iPhone. IBM and SNAPP announced SnappFiles, an iPhone application for accessing files stored in Lotus Quickr and FileNet P8. " The first offering, SnappFiles, demonstrated by IBM at MacWorld in San Francisco last week, is a free app available on the Apple App Store that delivers secure access to and collaboration on corporate documents stored in IBM Lotus Quickr or Filenet P8 ECM systems. Chatter will be released in the middle of 2010. -

Panasonic to IBM. IBM announced that Panasonic is embracing IBM LotusLive for its collaboration services. Panasonic will adopt IBM's services for Web conferencing, file sharing, instant messaging and project management. As part of this investment in open IBM technology, Panasonic will migrate employees from Microsoft Exchange or other collaboration software to LotusLive for email, calendaring and contact management.

IBM announced the availability of Lotus Connections and Lotus Quickr clients for the BlackBerry. " The BlackBerry Client for IBM Lotus Connections and BlackBerry Client for IBM Lotus Quickr allows people to collaborate in real time with their colleagues, maintain their productivity while away from their desk, and speed up decision making while "on the go". IBM Lotus Re-Org. IBM re-organized the IBM Software Group, which includes the Lotus branded products.

Microsoft announced details of Office for Mac 2011, with plans for better compatibility with Windows, improved collaboration tools, and a better UI. IBM announced greater support in its Lotus products for the iPhone and Mac computers. Organizations can now use IBM software for enterprise social networking; instant messaging; and securely encrypted email and collaborative applications with the iPhone and Mac.
