The RIM Bold 2 ("BlackBerry 9700") is coming in Australia and New Zealand in late November. Long catch-up post today, with news from last week while I was busy in Singapore. Microsoft BPOS Price Reduction. Microsoft reduced the price of its Business Productivity Online Suite (BPOS). " The BPOS price tag has been dropped from $15 per user per month to $10 per user per month (minimum of five seats is required). Existing hosting customers will see Microsoft refund the difference to them.

SharedDoc. SharedDoc is a new document commenting service, for collaborative document reviews. Once you upload a Word or Google Docs document to SharedDoc’s platform, you can send email invites to a friends or colleagues to comment on the document. In order to comment, a user needs to set up an ID. Users can then highlight portions of the the document where they’d like to leave a comment and post their input.

I had the privilege of a wonderful conversation with Nancy Dixon on the sidelines of KM Asia at the end of November (thanks to Ark Group for facilitating this). We started off by picking up on one of Nancy’s final points in her keynote the day before, that KM has done a lot of work in figuring out how to facilitate lateral knowledge sharing, but that the issue of knowledge movement up and down hierarchies had been sorely neglected.
