Blog Cases from 2005: Renee Blodgett on Cimmunications and Marketing

Portals and KM

This is another in a series of case studies from people I interviewed in 2005 about their blogging efforts. When I spoke to her in 2005, Renee said that she started quietly blogging over a year ago, under a pseudo name.  Many of her blogger friends were more introverted than Renee. After Renee quietly started her blog, several well-known industry bloggers encouraged her to go live with her blog and told her not to worry what others thought of her content or her writing.

Blog Cases from 2005: Gautam Ghosh on Management

Portals and KM

This begins a series of case studies from people I interviewed in 2005 about their blogging efforts. Initially, Blogger (which is the service he uses) did not have either a commenting facility or permalinks. Now as we move to 2013, I find it interesting to look back at the early days of business blogging. I will only include cases from people who are still blogging now. These cases have not appeared on this blog before. Gautam Ghosh now writes the blog, Talent and Social Business.

The blogherald reports on over 50 million blogs in April 2005. So wouldn't that be even more true for blogger opinions from the south (that we end up reading only the blogs which confirm what we already believe?). I searched to find out about the number of people blogging in the South.

It is here to notify bloggers that quotes from their blogs (or links to them) appear in the dissertation text. If you are the blogger listed here you might want to know that: I treat weblogs as a publicly available texts and do not ask permissions for citing them.
