Granted, it has been on the agenda of every executive ever since Henry Chesbrough’s seminal Open Innovation came out in 2003. In essence, businesses can use “shaping strategies” to amplify and accelerate the inevitable loss of control in order to avoid employees and customers abandon them. They are the antidote to the conventional conference format, radically disrupting the delineation between curator and attendees, speaker and audience.
