Online social networking can also be empowering for the user, as the monitoring and registration facilitates new ways of constructing identity, meeting friends and colleagues as well as socializing with strangers. If noticing such prioritizations to be shared by more than one individual, these perspectives become community-defining, and facilitate some community actions more than the others, and contribute to the determination an abstract community-specific activity niche.
Olga Levistova wants to deal in her master study the question: How does social surveillance become into participatory surveillance.

The determination of ontocoordinates of ontoplaces individually by community members creates conditions for the emergence of niches with shared ontocoordinates that facilitate taking certain community-specific actions. It must be noted that such facilitating niches for storytelling appear in hybrid environments when several people find, use or embed digital contents for perception and action as part of their daily interaction with the hybrid ecosystem. Recent month i have been trying to write together with Mauri Kaipainen about the “Narrative ecology” course results.

From the Learncom study “Pedagogical innovations in new ICT-facilitated learning communities” draft report ” Review of lifelong learning” by Kirsti Ala-Mutka (2009) i picked three innovative aspects of online communities:
- ICTenabled communities are enabling different ways for learning (narratives, discovery, experimentation, observing, reflection) ,
- Many (that i refer below) have already assumed that learning through developing and discussing narratives in social web spaces has become a new innovative form of learning.

And this may be annoying to the team members and facilitator.
I have been busy writing the descriptions of three iCamp cases and looking back of what was actually important, what we can bring at the more general level.
Previously i have not been thinking enough of the phenomenon what i would name ‘blind space’. If we start working together

Analysis of iCamp project’s three cross-institutional case studies enabled to model the necessary components of an intervention model at institution, facilitator and student levels:
Intervention model: institutional level
Intervention model: facilitator level
Intervention model: learner level
In the application of an intervention model, facilitators and students have a crucial role in changing institutionally accepted practices.

Despite the physical divide, we spent two hours in the same room, with Scott Greenburg presenting on "Digital Directorship," me chiming in and facilitating, fifteen people on their end, two on ours, the directors speaking up as we went along, make observations, asking questions, exchanging insights. (Scott Last night, we drove out to Boxborough, Mass, to meet with a group attending a conference sponsored by the National Association of Corporate Directors . Detail: they were in Phoenix, Arizona.

This does require those with a "speaking" role to act more like facilitators than presenters. Tim "Mumbrella" Burrowes is over live blogging (or tweeting) and Katie "GetShouty" Chatfield is feeling the same way. It's important to note that this kind of activity is still limited to certain events full of "webby" people. Many of the events I go to have no live blogging

I’m thrilled to learn that the great work of Tony Carr and his colleagues at the Centre for Educational Technology, University of Cape Town in South Africa have completed the Facilitating Online: a course leaders guide ( PDF here .). Facilitating Online is a course intended for training educators as online facilitators of fully online and mixed mode courses. A few years ago I said to Tony that I really had not done a good job keeping my resources up to date and I wanted to “open source” them but in a way where others would build upon and improve them.

I love things you can touch and play with when facilitating face to face. This is probably why I was so attracted to the “drawing on walls” involved in graphic facilitation , kinesthetic modeling and just plain PLAY as a way to work together.

It’s more about the social computing practitioner helping a CoP Facilitator help themselves.
ie what are the conditions that a facilitator can create to get their CoP off the ground.
What are the reasons for a pilot again?
• Helps to discover and squash tech issues before release
• Helps to discover and assist in user issues
- that’s why a cross-section of people is important in the pilot
• Deployment team can get an idea of early good practices, This is not a post about social computing deploying/piloting/adoption in general. All these are applicable
