The shift to the individual changes everything, and in revolutionary ways. Moving in and out of communities of practice may also increase velocity as people do not have a life long practice, but may change with changing jobs, interests etc…. NOTE: I want to stress in this post I’m referring to *pure* CoPs, ie. | | | | | | | | | LIBRARY CLIPS AUGUST 10, 2009 I don’t create communities, I create online spaces! This is a typical flow of discussion, which, when given enough time and insight, eventually changes a person’s entire outlook… from manager to gardener. The post title says it all, The Manager Who Thought He Could Create a Community. “I had a meeting today with a manager who thought he could create a community. | LIBRARY CLIPS NOVEMBER 11, 2008 Knowledge flow networks I’ve echoed words by Dave Snowden and Jon Husband that rather than trying to create a knowledge sharing culture, we are instead creating conditions and environment for that to happen naturally via a participation model that facilitates connections and shared context. Enterprise 2.0 Social Computing, and KM 2.0. Unbounded. No emergence. | LIBRARY CLIPS JANUARY 7, 2009 A social media proficiency strategy "Our belief was that our primary organizational challenge was changing behaviors and perceptions, rather than implementing a specific technology platform." " "…social media proficiency has very little to do with technology, and almost everything to do with organizational change." Obstacles. Motivations. web 2.0 | | | | | | | | | -
LIBRARY CLIPS | MONDAY, AUGUST 8, 2011 The future of enterprise 2.0 is apps What’s different about enterprise 2.0 social computing tools is the silo bridging. I’ve talked about this before in a post on Are we doing enterprise 2.0 in reverse. Thus you needn’t have to worry about having to convince and persuade about the benefits of silo-bridging, awareness, emergence and all that jazz. Web 2.0 MORE >> -
LIBRARY CLIPS | THURSDAY, JANUARY 28, 2010 It’s not about knowledge sharing, it’s about engagement and context! don’t think it’s a good idea to control "Push" in order for people to just push what’s needed…for how do we know what we need…we are living in times where we need to adapt and be resilient to a fast paced constantly changing environment. agree that the organisation needs to be open to helping others. LIBRARY CLIPS | THURSDAY, OCTOBER 13, 2011 Re-inventing gainsharing for enterprise 2.0 - move over positional power I’d argue that it at least in concept is tailor-made for a networked world where will perforce see more self-directed work groupings, a massive change in the role of middle management, and a diminution in the more-or-less automatic attribution of positional power and status that we see in traditional hierarchies. LIBRARY CLIPS | TUESDAY, JULY 5, 2011 Facebook and Twitter are broadcast design models; Google Plus is a sharing design model You can’t re-edit a post to change or add a Circle/s, or make it Public, etc…as the post might have comments that were not intended to be made public. Then the way it works is that only your mutual friends will be able to see your posts (but I think you can change this in the settings to make it more open). Twitter. Wrong? MORE >> -

Dynamic - the flow of the process changes on a case by case basis , based on available information and human decisions. flow can also change while the process is being executed based on new information, or a changing environment."
