As more and more mobile devices, mainly smartphones, are starting to look with much more detail into the mobile Enterprise 2.0 world, we are beginning to see how plenty of our favourite social software tools for business are making it through and rather successfully. In that article Dennis states very clearly what are some of the biggest challenges that Mobile 2.0 If you would remember, last week I posted a blog entry around the topic of " Finding Experts in Your Company … Through Micro-Sharing " where I mentioned how perhaps one of the most powerful expertise location tools available out there within the corporate world would probably be Enterprise Micro-sharing/-blogging.

I recently tweeted an observation of David Weinberger' s on how our language has shifted: Over the past decade, we’ve gone from talking about social circles to social networks. I liked the way he phrased it, and I also note that it is the word social that connects the concepts because we are, at our core, social beings. The word social is now attached to so many concepts A circle draws a line around us.

If you have been following this blog for a while, you would know how I have been blogging for a good number of times about one of those topics that people keep asking me about to share my two cents of the conversation: Social Software Governance and what IBM is doing about it . My short answer has always been IBM’s Social Computing Guidelines .
However, the long answer has always been a story of how a good number of us had been using social software behind a firewall for a while and how, in 2005, we all got together around a wiki and started working over the course of a couple weeks on the initial IBM Blogging Policy and Guidelines document.

Last week took place one of those conference events that surely has carried on with the conversations all over the place around the subject of social computing within the enterprise. Last week SOMESSO 2009 ( The Corporate Social Media Conference ) took place in London and it surely produced quite a stir with some really interesting presentations & topics around social media; and although I couldn’t make it to the conference myself, I surely had the opportunity to catch up with some of the various online interactions available in multiple places.
