The crawls maps links on one web-site to another webs-site. Example: Working with a tool developed at the University of Amsterdam, we did crawls to identify networks in the global finance system for the Global Finance Initiative in order to identify key organizations and people to develop a change strategy. This is illustrated in Map 3 Map 3: VNA map of innovation (Dashed lines are intangibles, solid lines are tangibles.) If you enjoyed this post, make sure you subscribe to my RSS feed ! The article below is interesting in that it does call out a dark truth - enterprise adoption of feed syndication tools has been lacking. However, There are a host of reasons why Enterprise RSS has not taken off yet (vs. The first concept to understand is that the key focus point for Enterprise RSS is not the reader - it's the feed syndication platform (the server back-end) that provides centralized administration, feed management However, the article disappoints because it gives too much credit to feed readers as the reason. I
Enterprise RSS . The consumption of Enterprise RSS feeds and the creation of the content in the feeds are both at fault here. There isn't enough 'good' information coming out of 'enterprise' RSS feeds and many people don't understand RSS (still). When it comes to RSS readers, we've got to look at the enterprise itself and ask the following questions: A lot of great comments over at the main article: R.I.P I

tools out there on the Internet, but I must admit that some times it drives me just nuts! Not sure up to what point it becomes frustration, but time and time again it amazes me that we are putting to waste such great potential with this micro-blogging / micro-sharing tool. So when Bill Ives just recently questioned whether you could make use of Twitter as a Personal Knowledge Management tool I couldn’t help but wonder myself whether I am using it as well as my PKM tool of choice, I have been using Twitter now for over two and a half years and, all along, if you have been following some of my recent twitterings , you would know how I seem to keep having a love / hate relationship with it.
Now what would truly make this awesome and catch up with what Blogbridge did, in my own words is: “When you import an OPML file into BlogBridge can you choose it to be a static list or a dynamic list…” “Basically a reading list means you can subscribe to the URL of an OPML file, but instead of importing all the feeds in one batch, they kind of virtually exist in your RSS reader…if a feed is added or deleted to the OPML file, then this will reflect in your RSS reader…dynamic!” And even do this by setting up keywords to filter in and out,

March 1, 2007 Collaborative Writing Tools And Technology: A Mini-Guide Collaborative writing tools are those technologies that facilitate the editing and reviewing of a text document by multiple individuals either in real-time or asynchronously. Online, web-based collaborative writing tools offer great flexibility and usefulness in learning groups and educational settings as they provide an easy mean to generate text exercises, research reports and other writing assignments in a full collaborative fashion.
If you are after a mini embeddable RSS Reader for Twitter check out Twazr , see my post . All these have RSS feeds if you prefer to read in Google Reader. Another tool on the block is Filttr …this too does group and search streams (and offers RSS feeds)…it also does lots of other filtering. ...Tags: TwitteReader looks similar to Google Reader, where you can mark read/unread tweets. You can already do this in Google Reader by subscribing to “you and your friends”
That’s why I’m thinking that micro-sharing is the perfect tool for opening up the conversation. You can also just blog a micro-post, which will not end up in an inbox, or RSS reader. I’m thinking tools like Yammer and the like are going to be bigger than blogging, especially groups where you can limit the chatter to your team…but I will stress these are complementary mediums. A while back I posted about knowledge sharing in your flow of work, and in between your tasks, here are those posts: 7 seconds to knowledge share , 140 characters to knowledge share .
And there is a proliferation of tools to aid your listening, some paid for, some free. ve had a look around, and I’m going to publish a series of three posts – firstly, on the tools, secondly: how to listen and respond, and finally on case studies which demonstrate the rewards of getting it right. Tools to help you listen Firstly, that tools list. Thanks to Clay McDaniel in 13 Essential Social-Media 'Listening Tools': MarketingProfs Articles , and Jake Hird for When my sister was learning to cross the road, family lore has it that she dutifully stood back from the kerb, listened, looked, then walked across with ears cocked, checking left and right just as she should.
