This came out of the call from a variety of corners for "knowledge sharing toolkits" and workshops. Everytime I try to do this, I have this annoying inclination to say it is all about context, and we have to think about methods in context, not as an abstract list of things we can pluck up and use.

With 3 other consultants (one of whom I've known online) we've developed three different workshops in Utrecht in the Netherlands Basic workshop 'webwerken' (29th May and October 15th) (evening) Crash course 'webwerken' (September 8th) Online facilitation (a week online, a day in Utrecht 9-16 June, 29 oct-5 nov) I think what makes our workshop special compared to others is that we are facilitators with years of experience experimenting, engaging, working with social media. Tuesday saw Matt Moore of Innotecture and I at the Australian Technology Park facilitating two half day workshops on online communities. The morning was a small group focused on the newer practitioner, and the afternoon added a diversity of experienced and energetic online community managers and designers. The morning’s small groups enabled us to go into details with each person and what they wanted to do online. This idea of the continuum from the individual, through bounded communities and out to networks again permeated my thinking and input, priming my pump for Friday’s keynote at Adelaide’s EDayz09.
