In a survey, Social Media Marketing Industry Report , by Michael Stelzner with almost 700 responses an overwhelming majority (88%) of marketers say they are using some form of social media to market their business, though 72% of those using it say they have only been at it a few months or less. The Media Buyer Planner reported that the study found that Twitter, blogs, LinkedIn and Facebook - in that order - are the top four social media tools used by marketers. Two-third of marketers in the UK don’t understand social media , according to a survey from McCann Erickson Bristol .
The survey found that almost two-thirds of marketers in the survey felt that they didn’t understand enough about social media to use it effectively in marketing. This survey does surprise us at FreshNetworks a little. Image via Wikipedia

love the way Facebook, LinkedIn, and other social networking sites organize content around people and relationships. Facebook and LinkedIn are places where you go to "network". person's activities or experiences show up on Facebook or LinkedIn only when somebody makes a special effort to put them there. Socialtext announced two major product announcements today: Socialtext People and Socialtext Dashboard. I'm excited about Dashboard, but People really rocks my world.
