Either way, the reason why I am putting together this blog post today is because, as I have mentioned a couple of days back in another entry, last week I spent a few days on the road while participating on the Lotusphere Comes To You events in both Madrid and Barcelona and, once again, I experienced what it is like being disconnected for a good chunk of the week without remedy. During the conference events I actually managed to have a good, solid WiFi connection, which I am sure most of you folks may have noticed, as it gave me an opportunity to live tweet all of the different sessions

After I came back last Friday from a couple of recent business trips to both Madrid and Barcelona to speak at the Lotusphere Comes To You events, and while still recovering, slowly, from a nasty cold I caught on the plane back home, I’m starting to get ready for my next business trip; taking place next week Wednesday and heading to London for Thursday’s SOMESSO / Headshift Social Business Summit . Then at the end of the day, each of those three themed workshops will be reporting back providing a comprehensive picture of the current state of things and where we will be heading

Yes, indeed, it is that time of the year where very soon I will be on the road again for my second and third business trips of the year and already working towards finalising the last few details, before I embark on the not-to-be-missed and always interesting Lotusphere Comes To You events. If you would want to find more details about the various Lotusphere Comes To You events around the world you can go and have a look into them over here , or at this particular link , where you will find the scheduling; in this case for Europe, but you could also access other geographies from there.

Continuing further with some of the highlights from IBM ’s Lotusphere 2009 event that I attended in Orlando, FL, in January 2009, I thought I would cover what, to me, was one of the most inspiring and thought-provoking moments throughout the entire event. Those moments were actually a number of conversations that throughout the event I had the pleasure of having with my good friend David Tebutt , who was also at Lotusphere (And who blogged his experiences over at his own blog ), where we eventually brainstormed for quite a bit on the whole thing around the subject of proving
ROI) of Social Software, with the latest instance over at " IBM Lotusphere 2009 Highlights - The Business Value of Collaboration Software ". Some of those caveats are very tied in with what traditional Knowledge Management attempted to do from the very beginning but failed to deliver over the course of the years. After the wonderful Lotusphere Comes to You 2009 events (in both Madrid & Barcelona) from last week and after taking a couple of days off to enjoy thoroughly both cities, it is time to return back home and, with that, back into my usual and regular blogging activities. Corporate social networking is just as essential as any other business process, knowledge sharing or collaborative tool available out there to help improve the productivity of your knowledge workers. Yes, indeed, it has been a few days since last time I blogged over here, so we may as well get things going again!
Well, my good friends and fellow IBM colleagues, Sandra Kogan and Chris Reckling , have finally shared the slide deck they put together for their presentation at this year’s IBM Lotusphere 2009 and when you eventually go through it you will be able to see the various similarities with that one from Scott, except that this time around, both Chris and Sandra have put together a good listing of the various social software tools for the Enterprise that IBM is offering to customers under three different scenarios: " a project manager, a sales person and a Web 2.0

Yes, that same one David Terrar managed to put together under " Always say DAI - conference WiFi " a couple of months back and which, it seems, keeps failing more and more these days. Lotusphere . From day one (Monday to me, since I arrived Sunday evening) and right till the very last day, Thursday, the WiFi connection at Lotusphere was everything, but functional. Well, not many, I am afraid. At least, for now.

" Lotusphere 2010 is the premier event for the enterprise collaboration community, it’s all about helping you achieve better business results through collaborative software and solutions [...] ". Of course, I am talking about IBM’s Lotusphere 2010 event that will be taking place in Orlando, Florida, USA, from January 17th to the 21st. Take That’s not such a bad start, is it? Yes, indeed, it is that time of the year where, once again, things are starting to ramp up and become more hectic than ever as IBM ’s event of events (probably * the * event
Over the last couple of days, and as I have been wrapping up things at work to start making my way to Orlando, Florida, in order to be able to attend next week’s IBM’s Lotusphere 2010 conference event, a few people have been asking me whether I would be having a speaking slot at the event itself as well; so today I thought I would take this opportunity and share with you folks what I will be doing myself during the course of next week (Apart from being one other regular attendee, that is). Well, here is another short blurb that may help out a bit addressing those questions:
Yes, of course, I am talking about last week’s IBM’s Lotusphere 2010 event that took place from the 17th till 21st of January. Once again , Lotusphere couldn’t cope with the demand of its thousands of attendees to provide a decent, and reliable!, mean, can you imagine what Lotusphere’s Opening General Session would have been like if we would all have had a good and reliable Internet connection throughout? As you may have noticed, it’s been a bit over a week since the last time I have been able to put together a blog post over here. And that,
