Node XL Online Community (Twitter!) An initial conversation was had about the challenges with creating a set of generally agreed upon community metrics (GACM), and we will continue to push this forward over the spring, with plans to have a solid draft by the Online Community Unconference West on June 10th. Twitter Stream The Forum One hosted the Online Community Unconference East last Wednesday, February 10th in NYC at the Digital Sandbox. Most of the attendees were able to make it despite the snowy conditions.

Over 70% of Australian internet users visited a social networking site in June, a 29% rise from the same time last year, reports comScore. When I was thinking of a title for a session on Twitter at the Enterprise 2.0 People have turned their Twitter avatars green in support of the protests. Type "#Iranelection" in the Twitter search bar and endless tweets come up. Just since I started writing this post, 846 more tweets have come up with the same hash conference next week here in Boston, I, of course, had no idea what would transpire in Iran a few months hence. But here we are, witnessing the power of 140 characters, the energy that can be released with the greatest economy of writing.
