Although it’s part of the Virtual Global Taskforce, CEOP is a UK police organisation (though obviously with links to international forces). I was just having a little think about Facebook’s news yesterday that it won’t be putting a CEOP panic button on all of its pages. Instead Facebook says it will have links to organisations including the Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) centre on its reporting pages. Regardless of its final outcome, one cannot write off the positive effects, on an international level: the reinforcement of productive capital against parasitic financial capital, the emergence of sustainable development on the top of international political priorities and the boost to develop new, environmentally friendly technologies. That is the main reason why political parties are torn by internal conflicts and maintain a fluid ideological identity, creating the impression of being a part of an era of ideological confusion. A colleague of Chris, Jacobien Ritsema worked with Riny Heijdendael to introduce wikis in the organisation in November 2005, and right now Chris can hardly recall how he used to organize his work before there were wikis in his life… Milieukontakt uses wikis for internal communication, but also started to use it with partners in Central and Eastern Europe. For instance: ‘we had a new member from Moldova in the international training group.
