But remember, it’s just a foundation - you have to bring your own case studies, experience and skills as a trainer to provide attendees with a clear, practical foundation in social media skills.

Stanford University has started a course to help parents keep up with their kid’s online doings in Facebook. In contrast, if we simply told you, as a parent, “what to do,” those steps may not work as your child gets older or as Facebook evolves (and Facebook will continue to change, of course). Case in point: Facebook as “Private Bedroom” . . . Of course, that’s natural. Snooping and overly protective parenting? Or rational empowerment?

Of course, this can raise the problem of clients expecting the final screens to be identical to the visual wireframes. “In Of course, sites still need to be specified, but wireframes aren’t always the right tool for doing this.
As wireframes have developed the role and skill set of information architects have developed too. I have a love hate relationship with wireframes. In the last 10 years they’ve been a part of every web project I’ve worked on.

Perhaps there is also the subject matter expert who comes in to create a course or determine the content pieces, and an instructional designer who organizes that content based on pedagogical principles and within the constraints of the technologies in use.
