about a year ago ,to create an online community of people annoyed with Optus. The same time that a number of others got fed up with Optus and created BadOptus etc, to be followed by other bad Optus sites. I’d had shocking service from Optus (the guy told me “yeah I know how to fix it but I’m not going to tell you”) and was in the mood to shine some social media spotlight on to poor customer service in Australia. I registered OptusPoo.com.au There is no Optus branding, my site aggregates all discussions re: Optus on

Our experiences with Moodle in a learning trajectory on Capacity Development In the past six months we (PSO) experimented with Moodle, an online learning- and working environment we used in an action learning trajectory on ‘The how and what of capacity development’. And it seems worthwhile to share some of our first experiences with you in this blog. Mainly because we find it wasn’t very easy to integrate an online platform in the broader learning process. How to design an environment in which new users can find their way?

My March post on SharePoint Tom Vander Wall Nails My Sharepoint Experience continues to get hits in a way few of my hundreds of blog posts ever have. In the past week three separate conversations have come up about the challenges of using SharePoint as an organizational intranet or portal in international NGOs. (I I presume this applies to US non profits as well, but oddly, I have heard of far fewer use cases.) Hmmm… Something is a ‘cooking. In each case there have been the following factors where the organization:

And one of the best ways to introduce yourself and answer these two questions is to tell a story that reveals something about your character and experience. The challenge for many people, however, is to find and tell a story that doesn't sound like you are just blowing your own trumpet. One approach is to take the spotlight off yourself and make someone else the lead. You can then play the supporting role.
There are plenty of people out there whom I continue to admire and respect a great deal over the course of the years; especially, those folks in the areas of Knowledge Management, Collaboration, Communities, Learning and Social Computing. am sure most of them do not know it, but through their insightful writing, their always interesting podcasts, their truly inspiring presentations at conference events, their timeless engaging, and equally fascinating, conversations when you meet them face to face, in short, through their sempiternal willingness to share with others what they know, has
some college student in a Texas Ag program writes up permaculture for Malawi, and a retired doctor in Hawaii translates it, and two teenagers in suburban Durban make a video and dub it, and a Japanese phone services start up compresses the video so it fits over thin pipes, and a guy in Brazil wires it to the GPS formats used by the local phone companies, and pretty soon there’s your organic green revolution and people stop dying. 8220; The entire system we currently call “government” is going to be challenged at every level . Last week I mentioned in Twitter how during the course of the week I’d be putting together a rather compelling and thought-provoking entry where I would detail how folks could kill over 85% of the incoming e-mails they get on a daily basis .
