It wasn’t traditional media in the US that put Barack Obama in office, if I’m not mistaken:
Obama said he noted the trend. “I Maybe it has to do with the fact that bloggers are starting to take on the role that journalists also do, which is undercover investigations – and it didn’t go well for Obama:
He should stick to politics – how quickly they forget! Mr.

There has been a lot of talk over the last year of Obama’s election as the first social media election . And it is certainly true that there is much we can all learn from how Obama used social media as a candidate during the election process. Blogs allow coverage in more detailed form from bloggers both inside and outside Iran and from all parts of the political spectrum

But over the last couple of days we’ve seen another use of social media in elections - reporting on the fallout from the election results

It’s a week after the US elections and I am still impressed by the speech given by Obama on November 5th as well as the campaign that surpassed anyone’s imagination. Obama Obama is no doubt brilliant but what I find so interesting is his use of many tools and tactics we work with in the field of Knowledge Management.
In future courses I give on social softwares and their uses, Firstly, his use of Web 2.0 - online social software and collaboration tools - created huge networks of supporters, helped raise millions of dollars and shared knowledge to influence a victory for America’s top position.

These guidelines aimed to provide helpful, practical advice—and also to protect both IBM bloggers and IBM itself, as the company sought to embrace the blogosphere. RightNow provides a suite of CRM tools that I have covered on this blog (see Barack Obama’s Answer Center - Campaign CRM from RightNow and most recently RightNow is Enabling Further Government Adoption of the Cloud). I am cross posting this from FastFoward to get more feedback and perhaps additional examples. I

Post #e2conf thoughts – installment 1 was provided by Gil Yehuda, another blogger I greatly respect. Gil gave a good example from a session I missed, Jascha Franklin-Hodge, Chief Technology Officer & Founding Partner of Blue State Digital who spoke about the lessons we can learn from the Obama campaign. Gil wanted to hear more enterprise related issues such as the “culture change” process that the Obama campaign had to accept internally as it shifted into a new strategy. I greatly enjoyed this years Enterprise 2.0 conference in Boston.

How a citizen army of bloggers and online activists is changing American politics. It’s recommended as one of the best accounts of the grassroots movement which was an essential feature of Obama’s victory.
Recalling very recent history, the bloggers masterfully weave together memories of the dramatic and improbable victory Webb won against wealthy businessman Harris Miller in the Democratic primary, and subsequent ejection of republican George Allen, detailing precisely through Book: Netroots Rising. by Lowell Feld and Nate Wilcox.

Note: my view was as a blogger first and only. I’m not a journalist who blogs, nor a blogger who has ever been paid for writing by a media organisation, nor journalist who is also an academic. Mayhill Fowler has not once but twice scooped the press – on stories about both Bill Clinton and Barak Obama. Either the I spoke at Media140 Sydney – I want to highlight some of the “arguments” used against social media by the panels, also focus on Everybody co-creating The Human Narrative and the diminishing role of journalists who take news from one part of the community and deliver it to another part: It’s not YOUR content.

But then he used the Obama campaign (which gathered momentum after the book came out) and the May 12th 2008 earthquake in Sichuan, China (which only occurred after the book released), to illustrate his central thesis that Group Action Just Got Easier. A couple of points about the Obama campaign that were mentioned during the talk are worth noting here: during the campaigning phase, the issue of legalizing medical marijuana was top on the list of suggestions for what Obama should focus on if he became President - which, given the fact that America has slightly bigger problems like
