So here are some tips from Dawn about how she used her powers of persuasion at Dell (at solarwinds everything they do starts with ‘how do we involve customers in this’ so I gather life is less complicated for her now!). I’m at the Communities 2.0 conference in San Francisco this week.

Manish Mehta, VP of Social Media and Community at Dell Inc., Ironically, most of what Manish talks about in this article actually is Dell’s strategy.  After Jeff Jarvis’  Dell Hell  series educated everyone on Dell’s opportunity to connect with their customers in 2005, Dell built a strategy to do just that.  Give yourself I walked away a little confused after reading  Isn’t the Value of Social Media What Business Is All About?  in in the Huffington Post yesterday.
For the past 3 years (since I have been reading on this topic) there have been countless blog posts on Social Media ROI (Return on Investment; not the equally popular Risk of Ignoring).  ROI Understanding the costs is how we started at Dell.
