I'm just picking up here from a train of thought by Rich Baker over at his new site Conversational UK -- which he in turn picked up from the arch-tweeter @darren_bbc. My network is taking more and more maintenance to keep it relevant." I'm struggling with the same issue. BBC news reports, with an admirably straight face: “It is unclear who would accept the prize if the internet were to win.” However, Facebook is clearly keeping a gimlet eye on its reputation with regard to child safety: the Guardian reports that the network is threatening to sue the Daily Mail, over an article which claimed that 14-year-old girls who create Facebook profiles could be contacted "within seconds" by paedophiles who "wanted to perform a sex act" in front of them.The researcher behind the article (despite appearances, not the author) says the paper inserted the claim into

Last year we wrote about the case of the Virgin Atlantic employees who were sacked for talking about customers (and indeed their employers) in social networks , and why you should be careful what you say on Facebook . This week had seen more cases in the UK of employees using social networks to talk about their employers and in particular their customers. At the time we wrote that:

Managing staff who participate in social networks.
This list also includes policies called; Staff blogging policies, enterprise social network guidelines, Employee Blogging Policies, Staff engagement in online communities, and so on. I’ve done a few press (radio, print) interviews this week re: Telstra so I thought I should have another look at how Enterprise, Government, Corporates, Not for Profits are handling the fact that their staff are members of social networks too.

Solution Watch 8apps: Social Networking for Productive People Last year I had selected the task management solution Orchestrate as a top pick in 25 To Do Lists to Stay Productive .
