An Australia mother confronts a teacher who belittles her pre-school son – with the help of her blog community.
We often are told that blogs and social media don’t change the world. But what if the grand revolution is one blog post, one comment, one mother changing her behaviour at a time? PottyMouthMama had a challenging experience with her young son’s pre-school teacher the other day. I

If you hunt through this blog, you’ll notice that I’ve been tracking Facebook users in Australia since May 2007 (around 200,000 members I think) to today and 1/3 of Australian population.
Australia: Number of Australians on Facebook 2010 is a post from: Laurel Papworth- Social Network Strategy
Technorati Tags: Australia , Australians Well, the number of Australians on Facebook has shot through the roof. After sitting on 6 million for a while, we have 7,900,000 monthly active users, 6,900,000 over 18 years old.

Most importantly it reminded me of what was happening in the software world and I was chuffed to see that ideas that I blogged about years ago are being incorporated into mainstream products such as social ranking of search , idea crowdsourcing (but I didn't call it that) and easily incorporating video.
You can imagine my surprise when on day 1 of the conference I found myself sitting at the same table as Dan Kirsch . I've never met Dan.

Myspace Music Australia has launched. Well, that quote wasn’t too bad but going on about Lily Allen doing a great job on her MySpace blog and speaking up about piracy, when she’s just been caned online for pirating content from TechDirt with no attribution was a bit much.
After the British Government’s plans to implement a three strikes policy for file sharing copyright infringement, Lily Allen came out in strong support for disconnecting offenders.
