You can view the social media policies of large US companies here by the way. MOBILE HOME… Socks up, mobile sites! While 31% of phone users browse the Mobile Web, they give an extremely limp 52 out of 100 average rating to dedicated mobile sites. Those very same users are also ‘extremely ad wary’ , according to research from Chitika: mobile as a whole hit a measly 0.48% clickthrough rate - just over half of the average non-mobile rate, which hovered at 0.83%. There’s a great article in The Star (Malaysia) by David Gibson of Inter-Asia.
Facebook, Google.com.my, YouTube, Google.com, and Blogger.
Messaging via social sites is now more popular than email, and 32% trust bloggers’ opinions on products and services .
Note the inclusion of Friendster – very Malaysian Internet users like Facebook, Myspace, and Friendster. They’re also connecting via Twitter, LindedIn and Plaxo, and eBlogger.

I found this online community of bloggers today. TechXav is a technology blog managed by a group of young and adroit bloggers between the age of 14-15. On my Blogger-powered blog, I write stuff related to the blogosphere. In February 2009, I decided to make the switch from Blogger to a self-hosted Wordpress blog. Kinda cool:

According to documents obtained exclusively by TechCrunch, it looks like Morgan Stanley is shopping Friendster around in Asia , which makes sense considering almost its entire user base is located in the Asian-Pacific region. In the main document (embedded below), it says that 75 percent of its registered accounts are in Asia. and carry a number of interesting TechCrunch has the Exclusive:
