Nora Ganim Barnes and Justina Andonian at the Center for Marketing Research, Charlton College of Business, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth recently released a report on The 2011 Fortune 500 and Social Media Adoption: Have America's Largest Companies Reached a Social Media Plateau? This represents a 2% increase since last year.

Here is a great visualization effort by the Flowing Data people. You can see how Walmart, like kudzu on the left , spread across the US South. It started in 1964 and first invaded the South. Then it passed the kudzu limits during the 1980s to spread across the rest of the country. It is a bit scary. wonder what the Starbucks story would look like.

2009 Global Most Admired Knowledge Enterprises (MAKE) Winners

North America took top honors with 7 Winners, followed by Asia (5 Winners) and Europe (3 Winners). The 2009 winners include some long time winners and some major companies that you would not associate wit KM in the 90s This brings back memories. The Most Admired Knowledge Enterprises (MAKE) award has been around for some time.
